Johan Oscarsson new Managing Director of VR Sverige

The new Managing Director of VR Sverige will be PhD Johan Oscarsson, who currently works as CEO at Strukton Rail. Johan will take up his new job at the latest in August this year.

Johan Oscarsson has around 25 years of experience working in the railway sector and comes most recently from Strukton Rail, where he was CEO for just over three years. Strukton is Sweden's largest private railway contractor.

I am convinced that Johan Oscarsson is the right person to lead this work,” says Elisa Markula, President and CEO of VR Group.

“I'm really looking forward to starting at VR and, together with the other employees, help to develop VR into an even more fantastic company,” says Johan Oscarsson.

Johan Oscarsson will take up his new job at the latest in August. Topi Simola will then return to full-time management of VR Group's City Traffic division, which includes VR Sverige.
